    I know what you’re thinking, it’s just a brick wall, right? You’re correct, of course, it is indeed just a wall, and no this isn’t some kind of cryptic social comment about how we’re all just another brick in the wall. In fact, it’s much more simple than that.

    Ever since I stumbled upon the Filthy Facades Instagram, I’ve become a little more aware of the ‘filthy facades’ around me. I’ll look upon them as if they were deliberate works of design, imagining them in a gallery or on the pages of some ‘artsy’ magazine, rather than just the blurred backgrounds of the unremarkable parts of the day.

    Doing 366 pictures means that each day I am constantly looking for things to photograph. Therefore there are often times when something that might ordinarily seem mundane, instead looks a little more interesting when framed.

    As Ferris Bueller said: “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”
