The river Eure gently flows under an old mill house in the French town of Chartres. It was, until recently, a busy bar and restaurant (Le Moulin de Monceau) serving fine food and drinks to tourists and locals. However, the tranquil location didn’t adjust well to a busy bar and restaurant, and noise complaints led to its closure. Now the tables and chairs are empty in the riverside dining room, and the gentle sound of trickling water has replaced the noise of patrons chatter and clinking glasses.
