Today was the day that never was. I crossed the international dateline on my ten hour flight to Fiji so, in effect, I spent much of ‘today’ on the aeroplane. In an ironic twist, this leap year of 366 days was therefore essentially shortened by one day for me, to a standard year of 365 days.
