Going underground

  • London underground

I’m somewhere under the streets of London, making my way out of a station on the London Underground, otherwise known as ‘the tube.’ As I neared the top of the escalator I turned around and saw this shot behind me. Grabbing my camera like some kind of wild west cowboy going for his gun, I quickly drew it and took the single shot as I reached the top of the escalator.

Many of the pictures I take for 366 are ‘quick-fire’ shots, taken with very little time to carefully frame the picture or check lighting levels. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. I think this one worked, but then I have a strange fascination with perspective shots, so maybe I’m not the best judge.
