In Paris thousands of people take to the streets of the city for the annual Pride March. Under a forest of waving rainbow flags, the colorful sea of people slowly flowed through the city, many in elaborate, imaginative, amusing, and sometimes downright bizarre costumes.

As music pumped out of the various carnival floats accompanying the heaving crowds, there was a really playful party atmosphere. People were dancing and taking pictures, while the more interestingly dressed (or undressed in some cases) happily posed for pictures.

I jumped right into the event that I stumbled upon quite by accident, initially believing it was yet another protest march (you see many in Paris). I took so many pictures it was a hard choice to pick just one, but in the end, I chose this one because I think it captures the jovial atmosphere that the march undeniably had.
