What can I tell you, there’s just something about shutters and windows that I like. I’m always curious about the clues a window gives us to the people inside. A well-tended flower pot, drying laundry, dirty drapes, or dead plants crisped by days of direct sun. As I walk past windows I sometimes make up stories in my mind, like short arthouse films that offer a moment of distraction.

We all have familiar routes we take over and over, maybe next look up.
