Villa Odette sits on the banks of the beautiful Canal du Midi in the southern French town of Carcassonne. It was once a canal-side retreat with vineyards stretching behind it, but it’s become overgrown and rather overtaken by its surroundings.

I can’t find much information about the little villa, aside from that it once belonged to two sisters from the Courtine family. However, I was able to uncover a picture of it taken back in 1914 when you can clearly see the vineyards in the background.

I think the vineyards are gone now, and it would seem to me that the cute little villa hasn’t been used in a long time.
