Dragon boats

  • Dragon boats stand in line at the main wharf of the Perfume river in the central Vietnamese city of Hue Dragon. The brightly decorated boats are a favorite for tourists who visit the city though they are really just glorified covered barge boats with plastic garden chairs.

I’m not sure why the river is called the Perfume river. Like anyone, I’ve smelled my fair share of perfumes, and while I’m may be no expert, I can say with a fair degree of certainty that if you were to go on a date wearing the fragrance of this river you wouldn’t be sharing a cab fare at the end of the evening.
