Onward to Asia

  • After an eight hour flight from Melbourne, I’ve arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I’m here for the second race in the 2012 Formula One World Championship, just a week after the first race back in Melbourne. I’m going to be exploring Malaysia for a couple of weeks with my friend Will, who has flown from the UK to join me for the Grand Prix and some exploring after that. I like Asian counties, they always have a somewhat hectic feel to them and an energy that I really get into.

I’ve never been to Malaysia before and I have to say that I am pretty excited to be here. Will has put together a rather intensive itinerary that should give us a good feel for the country at the end of this brief two week visit here after which Will heads back to the UK and I’ll be going to nearby Singapore.

Today was really just spent getting here, but Will and I went for a wander in the evening and that’s when I took this rather poor shot of the landmark Petronas Twin Towers which are the tallest twin buildings ever built and Kuala Lumpur’s most iconic building.
