An artist sits on the Pont de l’Archevêché, a bridge that crosses the Seine River in Paris. In the background stands one of the city’s most well known landmarks, Notre-Dame Cathedral.
The bridge recently fully reopened after it was partially closed earlier this year so authorities could remove the ‘love locks.’ They were causing a danger as metalwork on the bridge began to fail under the weight of the thousands of padlocks that love litterers had placed there.
