I was due to leave the United States last night but it would seem that Fiji, my next destination, was being whipped by a category 4 cyclone. I hadn’t checked the local weather in Fiji so I didn’t know that cyclone Evan was on its way there and that it had smashed into Samoa just a few days ago causing millions of dollars worth of damage. The ferocious cyclone claimed the lives of 14 people and a further 10 fisherman in the area currently missing!
