Urban gallery

  • The streets here in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, are pretty dirty and chaotic. The air is hot, humid and thick with dust and fumes of traffic. Finding beauty in any of this could be a challenge, but it’s there, just as it is everywhere.

Beside a busy road upon which the traffic waits for no one, a lone tree casts a shadow on an otherwise featureless wall. Most people will not see it, but for those who are paying attention, this blank wall becomes another work of art in a vast and ever-changing urban gallery.
