Who is the fairest..

  • A girl in Singapore’s MRT (subway) poses in front of her own reflection as she waits for the next train. She flicks her hair, tilts her head, stands in varying poses, and even turns around to look over her shoulder at herself, but not once does she take her eyes off her reflection.

At first she’s relatively alone, but pretty soon the platform begins to fill with evening commuters. Despite this, at no point is her gaze broken or disturbed as she continues to pose and flick her hair as if she were a model and that little piece of platform is her catwalk.

Three minutes or so pass, then her reflection abruptly disappears as the train arrives at the station, rudely reverting her mirror back to a window. Her interest is immediately severed and suddenly she’s just like everyone else dutifully standing on the platform to board the train.

The show is over, or perhaps it might be more accurate to say that it has relocated to another venue.
